Spoedeisende hulp (SEH) van Amsterdam UMC, locatie VUmc sluit op 27 mei

Op locatie VUmc opent een Specialistische Spoed Opvang (SSO) voor mensen die vanwege hun ziekte bij een specialisme op locatie VUmc moeten zijn. Zij nemen vooraf contact op met het specialisme, bijvoorbeeld via de huisarts.
De arts van het specialisme bepaalt of de patiënt terechtkan op de SSO, of naar een SEH moet voor spoedzorg.  Voor meer informatie zie amsterdamumc.org.   

Wat moet men doen in geval van spoed?  
In levensbedreigende situaties: bel 112 . 
In niet-levensbedreigende situaties: bel altijd eerst de huisarts.

Is de huisartsenpraktijk gesloten? Bel dan de huisartsenpost op 088 - 003 0600 (Amsterdam) of 020-4562000 (Amstelveen). Als het nodig is, verwijst de huisarts door naar de Spoedeisende hulp (SEH).    

De werkwijze in spoedzorg verandert hiermee niet. Je belt altijd eerst 112 of de huisarts(enpost). Je wordt dan automatisch naar de juiste locatie verwezen voor spoedzorg.

On Monday, May 27, 2024, the Emergency Department (ED) of Amsterdam UMC, location VUmc, will close. Patients are referred to the ED of location AMC, Meibergdreef 9.   

 A specialized emergency unit called ‘Specialistische Spoed Opvang (SSO)’ will open on May 27 at location VUmc for people who need to be at a care unit at location VUmc because of their illness.

They contact the care unit in advance, for example through their general practitioner. The doctor of the care unit determines whether the patient can come to the SSO or has to go to an ED for emergency care.  

 What should I do in case of emergency?   

In life threatening situations: call 112   

In non-life-threatening situations: always call the general practitioner first. Is the general practitioner's office closed? Then call the General Practice Center on 088 - 003 0600 (Amsterdam) or 020-4562000 (Amstelveen). If necessary, the general practitioner will refer you to the ED.   

 This does not change the way emergency care works. You always call 112 or the general practitioner first. You will then automatically be referred to the right location for emergency care.
